I am a busy little bee and have been neglecting my LJ. This whole grown up thing is harder than it looks.

Let's see, in the past few days I have:

- gotten the keys to the house. Pictures soon!

- scored tickets to see the Counting Crows perform live with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra. How fucking awesome is that going to be? The answer is very. Very, very, very.

- bought a desk and picked out a bed at IKEA, the new best place on earth (sorry, Disneyland). I'm going to go order the bed tomorrow I hope. It's reasonably priced and awesome and I'm in love with it. I already bought sheets. And a wine rack. Talk about priorities.

- made $150 at work last night. Score!

- made an appointment with the dentist for a consultation about my crown. Joy.

- I may be getting a new job...

- ordered Dish Network, complete with a DVR so I can record shows when I'm working, like Arrested Development and Extras. Still no luck with Internet, Comcast wants to charge us one child a month (okay, $60) for cable internet. Um, hello, I don't think so. And of course Verizon DSL isn't offered in our area.

- bought Jerry Maguire because "Free Fallin" was playing when I went to Target. Talk about fate.

- I get to see Tori Amos on Saturday at the Greek Theater. I am one happy girl.

- I have lots to do at the house, like put together the desk and nightstand, organize my closet...well, okay, so it's not a lot yet, because I don't have a lot. Which is good. I'm going for a more minimalistic feel in my new room. Plus, you know, the broke thing factors in.

There's more, but it'll have to wait. Too much to do today! Ugh. And then work at 5. Now I have to go walk three blocks to my car, praying along the way that it's even still there.

Yeah, that's exactly what happened with us. I went to this great website, www.movecali.com, and you type in your address and they tell you the services available where you are. Only problem is, for cable we had Comcast, Dish Network and Direct TV, and then for internet there was Comcast, and then SBC Global DSL and Earthlink DSL. Cable internet would be awesome, but not for $60 a month. No way.

The whole thing is just one big headache.
