OMG when they took Lee (RACETRACK!!!! WE ARE NOT FRIENDS ANYMORE, YOU DUMB BITCH), I just KNEW my girl Starbuck was going to come in and save the day. And she shot that Marine like it was nothing. No hesitation. Same with Skulls. I love that she didn't just shoot one of them as a warning, she just immediately moved on to her next target. I have no doubt that she would have dropped every last one of them if they hadn't let him go. And her "Follow me. Please." was so vintage Starbuck that I loved it. I have missed her! No more emo!Kara, k? Give my girl some guns and some mutineers to shoot and she's a happy bunny.

Also, I am apparently one of the only people who really liked the kiss. Honestly, I think it parallels the kiss in Home perfectly in that it seems to come out of nowhere but it makes perfect sense in relation to who they are and the situation they find themselves in at the moment. In Home, it didn't matter that the last time they'd seen each other they fought and punched their issues out, it just mattered that they were back together, that she had come back, and Lee was so relieved to see her that I don't think it was even a conscious decision that he made, it just happened and he went with it.

I felt the same here: for Kara, it was her coming back again, but into herself (this is the most alive I've felt in weeks, etc, oh bb we've missed you!), and then being there with Lee, giving him something to focus on, reminding him that they were there, TOGETHER, because the two of them can do anything when they're together because they are STARBUCK AND APOLLO. Plus, you know gun play gets her hot. ;D And Lee was disoriented and STILL HAD BLOOD ON HIS FACE and was clearly surprised that she was the one initiating the kiss for once (though she did take the first step in the brig scene, he was the one to turn around so I don't think it counts) but immediately his hands came up into her hair a la horribly failed drunk sex in Scar where even when he didn't know what the frak she was doing he went along with it.

And I just loved the implication that in all of this they had found each other and they are each other's best asset and they work so well together and they know the other's moves and are just flawless together, and in the midst of chaos they can come together so briefly and share a moment that re-centers them. Because really, that's all Kara was doing. Almost like slapping someone who's about to have a panic attack. But I liked her version better. :D

Anyway, that's just me.

I also LOVEDLOVEDLOVED all the pilotician sneaking around with guns and that look they shared when Mom and Dad were making out and Kara telling the admiral "These aren't your men anymore!" Man oh man. My pilots are back in fine form and I love them to pieces and THEY ARE SO GOOD TOGETHER and anyone who doesn't see that (ahem, RON MOORE) is an idiot.

Please someone to be putting Gaeta/Zarek/creepy Pegasus guys who cold-cocked my Helo/Kelly/all other mutineers out airlock soon, yes? THIS WILL NOT STAND. Papadama is NOT happy. Oh no. Gaeta is going to be SO grounded. No TV, no communication station, no sneaking out to spend the night necking in the family station wagon with Hoshi. DONESO.

So much happened in this episode, it was just total sensory overload after last week. Adama and Tigh kicking ass and taking names was AWESOME. OMG give those guys guns more often. I love my crazy space family. I need to rewatch as my first time was with Ambrose, Jermaine and Ted and we kept talking, and I know I'm forgetting other kick ass moments that I loved but yes. YES. OH SHOW. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH.

OKAY SO ALL OF THIS? YEA ME TOO.

I LOVED that kiss! LOVED IT! People were like "oh, she just wants to startle him or focus him or whatever" as if that's BAD. Yea, and she knew that a kiss from her would get his ass in gear, focus him up and remind Lee that while he looks hot with his suits and new long hair, he needs to hold a GUN and be APOLLO of APOLLOANDSTARBUCK and go be awesome for awhile.

I like your take on the kiss. It affected me differently but I knew once I started reading other reviews it would (hopefully) help me see it from different angles.
