Maybe instead of being pressured by Big Oil to kill the electric car all those years ago, you could have spent these years developing hybrids and new electric cars, and maybe then you wouldn't need Daddy to come bail you out. (See please: Who Killed the Electric Car. GM, I'm looking at you.) You don't see Toyota begging for money, do you? No. Because they are making SENSIBLE cars. Unlike you and your SUVs.
Take the money so you can save people's jobs, and START MAKING ELECTRIC CARS. Start making cars that do not make us dependent on oil. Because seriously? OIL IS NOT GOING TO BE AROUND FOREVER. It is NOT a renewable resource. Stop suckling the teat of Big Oil and act like a big boy for a change.
Also, flying cars. Y/Y?
